After graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School, I was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004. Since then, I have dedicated my professional career to, and practised exclusively in, the area of Family Law. I articled at a family law firm in Ottawa and have worked at various boutique family law firms in the Toronto area.

Having been practicing for over 20 years, I have extensive experience in all areas of family law, including child custody and decision-making, parenting time, child support, spousal support and complex property and financial issues. I also have particular expertise in drafting domestic contracts and complex court documents and am trained to resolve disputes through the Collaborative Family Law process. I have appeared at various levels of Court throughout Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. In addition to litigation, I have also represented clients in family law mediation, arbitration proceedings, and in the Collaborative Family Law process.

My interest in family law was founded on a desire to help clients and their families through difficult times, who benefit from my pragmatic, level-headed approach. I am a strong advocate for my clients and strive to find the best solution in the most cost-effective manner. Although each case is different, I consider litigation to be an option of last resort if there are less costly alternatives to resolving a dispute. I have successfully negotiated many settlements for clients outside of Court. However, sometimes litigation simply cannot be avoided and when necessary, I am not afraid to fight it out in Court and will strongly advocate for and on behalf of my clients.
