We offer a fixed-price of $2000 for an uncontested divorce. This includes any disbursements required by the Courts.
A retainer is an up-front deposit that is made. The lawyer holds these funds in trust in a bank account. The funds belong to the client until work is completed by the lawyer and an invoice for that work is issued. Once the invoice is issued, the retainer funds will be used to pay the invoice. It can be considered as a refundable deposit for legal services.
The retainer amount required depends on the complexity of the case. For most cases, it usually is $4,000-$7,000.
We do not provide estimates, as cases and negotiations can be unpredictable making it difficult to assess the cost up-front. We understand that divorce can be a costly process. We strive to minimize costs where possible and pride ourselves on providing the best value to our clients.
