I was first introduced to family law during a co-op term in 2009 while pursuing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Honours Psychology and Arts and Business at the University of Waterloo. I then obtained my Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and articled at a boutique firm providing legal services in family law and estate litigation.
After being called to the Ontario Bar in 2016, I gained a significant amount of litigation experience working as a criminal defence lawyer in Toronto. I have represented clients at various levels of courts including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
I returned to exclusively practicing family law in 2019 and have since worked on all areas of family law from high-conflict parenting matters to complex property and support matters. I take pride in advocating for clients and am committed to achieving practical yet meaningful solutions. I also understand the importance of negotiating resolutions through Alternative Dispute Resolution and work with clients to resolve matters out of court when appropriate. I focus on my clients and their needs to come up with a workable plan of action.
