Since graduating from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in June 2018, I have focused solely on family law. From negotiating settlements to managing complex litigation, I have the skills and expertise needed to navigate a wide range of family law matters.
My experience has shown me the benefits of aiming for settlements. I focus on minimizing the emotional and financial ramifications of litigation. I am extremely comfortable strategizing with clients and negotiating with opposing counsel to come to the best resolution possible. Negotiation has always been second nature to me, I am a creative thinker and problem solver. I approach matters with an open mind and curiosity. My non-judgemental style and strong attention to detail allows me to manage and negotiate with opposing parties in an informed, non-adversarial and compassionate way.
I was called to the Nova Scotia bar in June 2019 and the Ontario bar in May 2020. I also graduated with a degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2015. I am keenly interested in diversity and inclusion, having participated in specialized training courses on anti-oppression with South House Halifax, on cultural inclusion through Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre, and on responding to sexualized violence through the Purple Folder training.
